Blue Shield of California is adding two new features to its digital health platform that are geared toward members living with Type 2 diabetes.
The Wellvolution platform will now feature Care Compass, a shared decision-making tool that can allow members to share varied well being markers, together with blood sugar ranges and drugs, with their physicians or members of the family.
The platform will now additionally prolong its meal supply service to low-income members, offering as much as six months of meals by way of its Betr Well being characteristic.
Almost half of California adults have prediabetes or undiagnosed diabetes, and one other 2.5 million have been identified with diabetes, in response to research from UCLA Well being.
